Message from your PTA Board

Hello Sanger Families!

We want to thank everyone who came out this past weekend to make the Back to School Bash such a success!!  💚  We estimate nearly 500 attendees - the little rain we had didn't slow anyone down.

A special THANK YOU to all our volunteers - parents, grandparents, and middle school students - who all helped make it happen!

📚 Book Buddy & Math Mentor Program ➗

We are launching a Book Buddy and Math Mentor Program at Alex Sanger Preparatory School to help K-2 students with reading and/or math. Teachers will identify students for the program, and volunteers will work one-on-one with their assigned student for 30 minutes on a weekly basis throughout the school year.

Students' class schedules will dictate when reading/math time needs to occur, but the times available will be during school hours.  Volunteers may be parents or family of students or part of the neighboring community, but please also note that all volunteers must

Prerequisites:

  • Attend in-person training on September 16 or October 7 at 9-9:30am in Sanger's auditorium.
If you cannot attend on these dates, contact Ms. Cerrillo to schedule another time. (cacerrillo@dallasisd.org).
  • Register with the district (submit a background check) application through Voly each school year: dallasisd.voly.org.
