Hello Sanger families!  

We hope you'll join us for an eventful evening TODAY, Tuesday, October 14.  We've got a great meeting coming up as well as a chance to celebrate some wonderful works of art by our students!  Details below...

5:30 pm - View student artwork inspired by Hispanic Heritage Month!

Works from grades PreK - 8th Grade will be on display in the front entry before the PTA Meeting. 

6:15 pm - Stay for our PTA Meeting!
We have a great agenda, including some exciting and timely topics:

⚽️ Gaston Middle School Soccer Tryouts | 10/15 - 17

Gaston Middle School is hosting tryouts for 7th & 8th Grade Soccer Teams.

Girls: Wednesday - Friday 4:15-6:00 pm

Boys: Thursday - Friday 4:15-6:00 pm

  • Meet in the auditorium
  • Bring athletic clothes, soccer cleats, and a water bottle
💚 Bitty Belle Performance at BA Football Game | 10/16

Bryan Adams Vertical Team will be well represented at this Thursday's football game.  In addition to the Gaston and Hill Middle School bands performing, the halftime show will include the Bitty Belles!  

  • Game starts at 7 pm
  • Halftime performance around 8:30 pm

Sanger Fest | 10/17

Come enjoy this fall festival with fun for the whole family.  This event is a fundraiser for grade-level field trips.  Purchase tickets to participate in games, activities, and get food/drinks.

Announcements

Calling all Sanger Family Businesses - it's time to update our directory! This directory includes businesses owned by Sanger families and enables us to support each other personally and for Sanger-led events when possible.

  • Fill out the Google Form by October 24

  • There is no obligation to donate to be included in the directory, but Sanger sponsors are noted. 

  • After the deadline, the directory will be updated and shared with the school as a resource for all.

  • Updates to the directory are made annually, with the exception of new sponsors throughout the year.

Spirit Gear - Order Update

As orders have slowed down, our PTA volunteer will now pick up orders from Dallas East Sports on a biweekly basis, on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.  Orders will be sent home the next day, on Thursday. 

You can always pick up your order at the store!

🧡 Wear Orange for Unity Day - National Bullying Prevention Month | 10/20

*Adjusted date to accommodate IB campus visit

Unity Day is celebrated during National Bullying Prevention Month to send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.  The call to action is simple: wear and share the color orange. This vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention.

🏀 Gaston Middle School Basketball Tryouts | 10/22-24

Gaston Middle School is hosting tryouts for 7th & 8th Grade Basketball Teams.

Wednesday - Friday 4:15-6:00 pm

  • Meet in the auditorium
  • Bring athletic clothes, shoes with laces, and a water bottle
🗓 Parent Teacher Conferences | 10/23

Teachers will send more information about booking a time with them to discuss student progress.

*If you are not available on this day, work with your student's teacher to find a time when you can discuss progress this year.

🎃 Pumpkin Project | 10/24

Decorated pumpkins will be on display near the front office until Friday 10/31.

🍭 Trunk or Treat | 10/25

We want 20+ fun and decorated trunks this year - bring your candy and create a fun trunk experience!

Red Ribbon Week | 10/27 - 31

This year's theme is - Life is a puzzle, solve it drug-free!

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign.  Additional information and resources are available on their website: https://www.redribbon.org/
